Does the ReFraction™ Backpack have comfortable shoulder straps?

We have designed the ReFraction™ Backpack with comfortable carry in mind. The backpack straps feature lightweight padding throughout, and have hidden internal structure that prevents the shoulder straps from pinching inward or digging in. This makes the ReFraction™ Backpack comfortable enough for all day wear, and even day hikes.

Bluesign® is a highly reputable third party certification criteria that requires that fabrics do not contain harmful substances, are environmentally friendly, and are produced in a safe and fair environment. Our materials are also free from PFC, PFA, and PFAS.

Is the ReFraction™ Series waterproof?

The ReFraction™ Series is built from waterproof materials and has YKK® sealing zippers. The ReFraction™ Series is designed to withstand light bouts of precipitation. Outdoor coatings add further protection by letting water slick off the fabric. If you’re looking for full weatherproofing, we recommend the Advanced Series bags.

Are the ReFraction™ Series backpack and duffle bag personal-item size compliant?

Yes, all of the ReFraction™ Series bags are personal-item size compliant. Also—the sling does not count against your baggage count and is considered to be an item of clothing by most airlines. This makes it an excellent place to keep your in-flight accessories or essentials when you travel—it’s free space.
